Simone Walsh
I graduated with a Bsc in Mathematics and gained several years’ sales experience before embarking on a career in Recruitment. I started with a small recruitment company recruiting Hotel, Pub and Restaurant Management before joining a leading UK recruitment consultancy, where I successfully managed a team of consultants working within the FMCG sector for several years before specialising in the Food Ingredients, Flavour and Fragrance markets.
In 2006, the addition of our first child, Kaitlyn to the family and having enjoyed a very successful career to date, I made the decision to reassess my career ambitions and decided to put my experience to better use and start my own business, Cinnamon Recruitment Limited.
Our son George was born in 2008 and now with both children in school, I have more time to focus on growing the business and by managing Cinnamon Recruitment, I am able to provide a fantastic service to my clients as well as maintaining a good work/family balance.
I now have over 14 years experience recruiting for some of the market leaders in the Flavour, Fragrance and Ingredients marketplace. I have recruited Commercial, Technical, Operational and Senior Management positions across the industry; Cinnamon has grown into a very successful business with an established client base and an ever growing network of contacts.
I have always taken pride in being an honest and attentive recruiter and I recognise that people are a business’ best asset.
My desire is not to be the biggest recruiter in this sector, but to always provide an excellent service to clients and candidates alike. I will only take on a project if I feel that it is realistic and something that I am confident in my abilities to fulfill. I will always give honest feedback to candidates and clients and will always do what I say I am going to do.
